Shelyn Davis, PharmD
Shelyn Davis, PharmD
Owner / Pharmacist in Charge
Shelyn was born and raised in Malvern and this is where she always wanted to stay. She is passionate about helping this community. She is the daughter of Guy (G.H.) and Sheila Collins and is married to Chuck. They have 3 sons -Jared, Matt (married to Samantha Davis), and Marc (married to Caroline Davis). They also have 1 grandson - Sawyer. She attends Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she loves singing in the choir. Her hobbies are playing with Sawyer, looking on Pinterest, shopping, and caring for her 4th child - Community Care Rx.
Shelyn graduated from Malvern High School in 1985 and then attended UALR for 2 years to complete her pharmacy prerequisites. Shelyn graduated from UAMS College of Pharmacy in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Four years later, she completed the Doctorate of Pharmacy program. Upon graduating, she worked at various pharmacies in Hot Springs, Hot Spring Memorial Hospital, and she also worked part-time at her parents' pharmacy in Malvern (Sullivan's Drug). Shelyn worked with her mother, Sheila, after they opened Collins Pharmacy in 1992. They worked at that location until selling to Fred's Pharmacy in 2005. In November 2018, Fred's Pharmacy was sold to Walgreens. At this point, Shelyn decided to open her own independent pharmacy. She rushed to complete paperwork and get established and by December 7, 2018, she was able to start filling prescriptions as Community Care Pharmacy.

She always knew she wanted to help others. Shelyn truly loves her patients. She named the pharmacy "Community Care Rx" because of the commitment she feels to Hot Spring County - to let people know that we care about their health and this community. We started out as the "Little Pharmacy With a Big Heart" - and even though we're not so little anymore, our mission still remains the same!
